Upcoming smartphones undergo a number of certifications before they are marked cleared for launch and so on. Such authority is TENAA which is a Chinese regulatory certification where smartphones bearing model number SPN-AL00 and SPN-TL00 have appeared. According to GSMArena, the said model numbers are believed to be of Mate 30 Lite and/or Nova 5i Pro where the latter is released before the Mate 30 series is released.
Per the certification, the said phone sports a dimension of 156.1×73.9×8.3mm weighing at 178 grams and has a 6.26-inch IPS display that supports by 16 million colors thanks to its 2340×1080 pixel resolution. The device will be available in the Huawei-styled Aurora and Magic Night Black colors which we have already seen with a number of smartphones from both Huawei & Honor previously.
Next bit of information that we intercepted thanks to the TENAA listing is that the device will run on Android 9.0 Pie with the skin of EMUI 9.0 which is a customized UI from Huawei, which is often hailed as one of the fastest alongside OnePlus’ OxygenOS. Furthermore, the device will run on a 3,900 mAh Li-Po or Li-Ion battery which is still higher than OnePlus 6/6T and even OnePlus 7 for comparison.
The listing also revealed that this phone will have an octa-core processor clocked at a maximum of 2.2 GHz and since Huawei uses its in-house Kirin SoC, there’s no doubt that the device will have an octa-core Kirin chipset onboard along with 6GB or 8GB of RAM options and finally, 128GB or 256GB of internal storage variants are available as well.
The said listing reveals that there will be a Penta-camera system with 32MP front sensors. Finally, there will be a 48MP primary, 8MP secondary, and two 2MP sensors (probably a depth and ToF sensors) that will make up a quadruple camera set up at the back.
We don’t know if it is either Mate 30 Lite or Nova 5i Pro as said since we don’t have any images alongside the TENAA listing. We will have to wait for some more time to get information about the same.
