Motorola expands lineup with Razr 70 series, Moto G37, and Moto G87 launches

Motorola had a great day earlier on Wednesday, April 29. Turns out the smartphone maker had a blast in terms of launches ranging from the budget G37 to the mid-range G87 and the top-of-the-line Motorola Razr 70 series in the US, EU, and other markets. Here’s what’s in it for you.

Motorola Razr 70 series launched: specs, pricing, and availability

Motorola had a big day earlier on April 29. We got our hands on the Motorola Razr 70 series (or Razr 2026 series) with two models to choose from, and here’s what you should know about each of them.

The Motorola Razr 70 (or Razr 2026) lies at the base with a 6.9” LTPO AMOLED 120Hz folding display and a 3.6” LTPS AMOLED 90Hz panel at the back. The phone uses a Dimensity 7450X SoC alongside 8GB LPDDR5X RAM, 512GB UFS 3.1 storage, a 32MP snapper at the front, and a dual 50MP shooter with OIS at the back. There’s a 4,800mAh battery on-board alongside 30W wired and 1W wireless charging.

The Motorola Razr 70 Plus (or Razr+ 2026) has similar specs at a 6.9” panel with 165Hz resolution and a slightly larger 4” LTPS Extreme AMOLED secondary panel. The foldable phone draws its power from the Snapdragon 8s Gen3 SoC, plus 256GB storage and 14GB RAM. On the optics front, the camera specs remain unchanged with the Razr 70. There’s a slightly smaller 4,500mAh battery on board, though, compared to the Razr 70.

The last and top-of-the-line variant is the Motorola Razr 70 Ultra (or Razr Ultra 2026) that takes on the Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC, paired with 512GB of storage and 16GB of RAM. The phone uses a better 7” Extreme AMOLED 165Hz 1224x2292px front primary display with 5,000 nits of peak brightness. The secondary display at 4” has a 165Hz HRR as well.

On the Motorola Razr 70 Ultra camera’s front, we have a 50MP primary cam with LOFIC and OIS, followed by a 50MP ultrawide at the back and a 50MP front camera. The phone draws power from a similarly sized 5,000mAh battery with 68W wired, 30W wireless, and 5W reverse wireless charging. 

On the pricing side, the Razr 2026/Razr 70 is priced at $799 in the US with pre-orders starting on May 14. The Razr 70+ (or Razr+ 2926) fetched a retail price of $1,099.99, with pre-orders starting on May 14. Finally, we have the Razr Ultra at $1,499.99 with pre-orders starting on May 14.

Moto G37 goes official: specs and more

The Moto G37 has arrived as the most affordable model in the G series. With 5G coverage, the phone brings a 6.67” LCD FHD+ panel with an HHR of 120Hz. There’s Corning Gorilla Glass 7i taking care of the display’s protection. Under the hood, we are greeted with a 6nm Dimensity 6300 SoC at 2.4GHz max frequency, 4GB LPDDR4X RAM (plus 8GB virtual), and up to 256GB UFS 2.2 storage with microSD capability up to 1TB.

The phone has a 50MP primary snapper at the back, followed by auxiliary sensors and an 8MP shooter at the front. A breezy 5,200mAh battery sits under the hood paired with standard charging. Other specs include Hello UX, USB-C 2.0, Bluetooth v5.4, NFC, Wi-Fi 5, 5G sub-6GHz, MIL-STD-810H certification, and Gemini.

Moto G87 launched: specs, pricing, and availability 

Moto G87 made its debut at the April 29 launch event as well. It brings a whopping 200MP shooter to the G-series. There’s an 8MP ultrawide at the back and a 32MP front camera setup. The phone uses a 6.78” Extreme AMOLED panel boasting a resolution of 1.5K, a 120Hz refresh rate, and a high brightness mode that can reach a whopping 5,000 nits.

Furthermore, the phone runs on a Dimensity 6400 SoC backed with 12GB RAM, a 5200mAh battery with 30W fast charging, and Android 16 out of the box. Other features include 5G, Bluetooth v5.4, Wi-Fi 6, MIL-STD-810H certification, virtual RAM up to 24GB, 2TB of storage expansion support using a microSD card, etc. The device has arrived at 399 euros or USD 466 and will be available across EMEA and LATAM in the coming days.
