We got our hands on fresh details around the Xiaomi 18 Pro Max specs as the phone prepares its debut after a few months. The latest comes from tipster Digital Chat Station (DCS), whose reputation precedes him, giving a peek into what to expect with the Pro Max that will join the wagon with the Xiaomi 18 and 18 Pro.

DCS posted on Weibo, with details on an alleged engineering prototype of the 18 Pro Max. Turns out the flagship phone could get a custom flat display with round corners and slim bezels around all four sides that will be uniform. An earlier report puts forth a 6.9” 2K OLED panel at the center, which is highly likely given we are talking about a flagship phone here.
Going further, according to the leaked specs, the Xiaomi 18 Pro Max camera setup appears to bring a 200MP primary shooter with LOFIC technology engineered to improve dynamic range, combating inconsistencies during challenging lighting conditions.
It will be flanked by another 200MP telephoto shooter with macro support plus 3x optical zoom, which has been corroborated by previous reports as well. Just as last year, we will see a Xiaomi partnership with Leica for the Xiaomi 18 series as well.
Moving on, the Weibo post claims the Xiaomi 18 Pro Max is likely to be powered by an “8K++” battery, which is a nod to more than 8,000mAh of battery capacity. A previous report does highlight an 8,500mAh battery, which can be true as well, although the exact capacity remains a mystery. We will see 100W wired and 50W wireless charging to juice up the battery at the earliest.

To shed light, the Xiaomi 17 Pro Max went live last year with a 6.9” flat display, a 7500mAh battery, a triple camera setup tuned by Leica, and a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 SoC. It is safe to assume that this year’s model will pack in the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 or Gen 6 Pro as it readies for launch in the last quarter of this year.
