Samsung seems to be building its portfolio in the audio market as well. Turns out there’s a purported over-ear Samsung Galaxy headphones internally called ‘Galaxy H1.’ The folks at SamMobile got their hands on illustrations showing the upcoming buds just days after next-gen Galaxy Buds with an ear-hook design were leaked by the same source.
According to the reports, the South Korean giant is working on a pair of wireless headphones, internally called ‘Galaxy H1.’ Although we don’t have much information about the headphones, the audio devices are likely to arrive sometime in 2027 and will adhere to flagship specs. The illustrations hint at the possible product in the pipeline, although I would take it with a grain of salt, as it is still too early to comment.
Next-gen over-ear Samsung Galaxy headphones could arrive in 2027
It was 2014 when Samsung rolled out Level Over, its revolutionary headphones with 50mm dynamic drivers, touch controls, ANC, and premium build, much to its flagship cadre. However, Samsung has since refrained from upgrading the headphones market until now, when the purported Galaxy H1 is set to arrive.
These headphones will be backed by Bluetooth v6.0, SSC UHQ codec support, and ANC, which is simply a tell-tale sign of its flagship identity. These references were made in the Galaxy Wearable app along with the purported Galaxy Buds with ear-hook design, which led us to this report.
Samsung is readying itself to rival Apple and Bose
It seems like Samsung wants to stand firm in the premium wireless headphones category with the launch of Galaxy H1. This means there will be a fierce rivalry between offerings from Apple (AirPods Max 2) and Bose, along with other brands in terms of sound quality, noise cancellation, and comfort.
We are talking about headphones that are close to $300 in the market. If true, the purported Galaxy H1 (marketing name could be different) could attract the same price tag. However, the South Korean giant will have to bring a little more than just pretty-looking premium headphones to lure more buyers compared to players that are already in the market, sitting with their share of the pie.
For now, all we know is the next-gen over-ear Samsung Galaxy headphones could arrive in 2027, giving us a lot of time to ponder and wait until more information is available.
