Apple’s next-gen iPhone SE 4 is coming on February 19 – a few days from today. I understand that the announcement feels unreal given Apple likes to hype its products before launch, but this is different. Turns out Tim Cook, the CEO at Apple, announced the upcoming addition to the iPhone family via X (formerly Twitter) gaining more than 8 million views at the time of writing this.
Apple Event Set for February 19 — iPhone SE 4 Anticipated
Tim Cook took it to X (formerly Twitter) to announce its upcoming launch dubbed as the ‘newest member of the family’ on February 19, Wednesday. Although the teaser doesn’t name any products, Mark Gurman of Bloomberg was quick enough to repost it adding the moniker ‘iPhone SE’ as it prepares for its launch on the coming Wednesday, and we can’t be more excited.
Get ready to meet the newest member of the family.

For those unversed (I don’t know why though), the upcoming iPhone SE is originally known by the monikers such as iPhone SE4 and iPhone 16E. However, it seems like Apple will stick to the iPhone SE, possibly adding the launch year aka 2025 as its suffix. However, take it with a pinch of salt.
A lot is already out in the public about this upcoming Apple iPhone. It is based on the iPhone 14 in terms of appearance while borrowing the Apple A18 Bionic chipset from the iPhone 16. There’s 8GB of RAM and possibly a single camera at the back in order to keep the pricing in check. Having a better chipset than last generation’s A15 means you get more raw power and performance when you actually use the device.
An 8GB of RAM on-board also hints that Apple Intelligence support is on its way as well. Apple’s AI will make the iPhone SE more powerful than ever. Apart from that, we are expecting the iPhone SE to feature Apple’s first-ever custom 5G and Wi-Fi modems which have been long overdue as well. Exactly what we will be getting is yet to be ascertained. Fortunately, we are just a couple of days away from the big launch, which may change Apple’s trajectory in terms of units sold.
For now, keep an eye on the iPhone SE on True-Tech as we capture more about the upcoming offering until of course, it launches on February 19.
