Motorola is on the rage of releasing smartphones globally. After launching Moto RAZR, a few G-series smartphones, and Edge series, the company has finally unveiled the Motorola One Fusion+ smartphone. One Fusion+ is not a not something we haven’t heard about as this device has been in the rumor mill for quite some time. The device was released in Europe as the latest edition to the company’s portfolio. The company is yet to unveil the lower Motorola One Fusion.
Motorola One Fusion+ looks a bit like the last year’s Motorola G8 Plus smartphone, but without a notch or punch-hole display. The device comes with a pop-up selfie camera unit which makes the display uninterrupted with proper fullscreen experience. We know the key specifications of the device before the launch itself, as the device is leaked a couple of times including the YouTube device report page. The listing revealed all the specifications including the render of the device too. Motorola has gone with an IPS LCD display here with a set of very minimal bezels but with a comparatively thicker chin on the bottom.
The device is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 730 SoC. This is the first device from the company that is driven by Snapdragon 700-series chipsets for the One series of smartphones. This SoC is one of the finest ones available in the current mid-range market and is found on devices like Redmi K20, OPPO Reno 2, and Lenovo Z6. The device is made available in only one variant that comes with 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of onboard storage. Moreover, the company also included a MicroSD slot which lets the users expand storage up to 1 TB.
Unlike most of the current mid-range devices, Motorola had gone with a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor contrasting the side-mounted sensor. On the back, we also get to see the quad-rear camera setup with all the necessary sensors expect for the telephoto sensor. Yes, Motorola skipped the telephoto sensor and included the macro camera instead. That’s a bolder choice made by the company. Regardless of the camera hardware, the company bragged about its industry-leading AI that can help the Motorola One Fusion+ click better night mode shots and in various other modes too. Also, the company has included a dedicated Google Assistant key which makes a lot of sense considering that the new Android gesture system made launching the Assistant much trickier.
The device is made available in two colors including Moonlight White and Twilight Blue. Motorola has taken Xiaomi’s route by making the Moonlight White device completely white including the front and the bezels too. We have seen this color scheme recently on the Mi Mix 2S.
