Nokia is all set to launch a new phone in the Indian markets today. The company has already scheduled an event for the same in New Delhi. According to reports, Nokia will announce the Nokia 2.2 smartphone which will be powered by Android One. Now, it is no surprise to see Nokia 2.2 comes with Android One as Nokia has pledged to launch all their phones under the Android One program. As far as the rumours regarding Nokia’s launch are concerned, they are few and far in between.
Nokia’s 2.2 is expected to be an entry-level smartphone offering from the company. This is according to the specifications and renders leaked by Evan Blass. Now, Nokia is also expected to launch the Nokia 6.2 smartphone in India soon. And we might also see the Nokia 6.2 being launched at the same event.
Looking at the renders of Nokia 2.2, it is clear that the phone will have a waterdrop notch. Also, the smartphone seems to have a plastic shell at the back as opposed to the glass back which is common nowadays. Apart from that, Nokia 2.2 will have a dedicated Google Assistant button and we might see a LED notification light on this device which is rare. We might also get Face Unlock on the Nokia 2.2 which is also hardly seen on entry-level phones.
At the moment, there are no reports regarding Nokia 2.2’s specifications. Some reports suggest that the phone could come with 2/3GB RAM and 16/32GB internal memory. Also, it will come with full Android One support rather than Google’s Android Go program for entry-level devices. If Nokia also announces the Nokia 6.2 in India today, it is expected to be powered by Snapdragon 632 processor. Also, it should have 6GB RAM and 128GB internal storage. As always, Nokia 6.2 will also run on Android One program. The expected price of both the Nokia 2.2 and Nokia 6.2 is not known yet but we will know about it soon.
