Xiaomi Redmi Go Goes Official In Philippines : Starts at only $75

Xiaomi’s Sub-brand, Redmi, has finally announced its first Android Go based phone, Redmi Go, in Philippines. Just to remind you, Android Go is a lighter version of Android designed to run better on inexpensive smartphones with 512 MB to 1 GB of RAM. The Redmi Go benefits from having an extremely low price tag of PHP 3,990 (~$75), and it offers worthy specs at such a thrifty value.

The Redmi Go boasts a traditional 5-inch 16:9 screen, producing an HD+ resolution of 1260×720 Pixels. The display supports features likes 380 nits brightness and 1000:1 contrast ratio. Being a low-end phone, the device features pretty standard specs, having a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 SoC under the hood, clocked at 1.4Ghz. The processor is paired with upto 1GB of ram and 8GB of expandable storage (upto 128GB). In addition to it, the phone is fueled with 3,000 mAh battery.

 

In terms of software, Redmi Go is pre-installed with Android 8.1 Oreo, based on Google’s Android Go programme. For photography, Redmi Go carries a single 8MP lens at the back, with F/2.0 aperture and an LED flash. On the front is a 5MP selfie shooter with F/2.2 aperture.
