Last year in March, Reliance Jio launched its Prime membership, wherein the users had to pay Rs. 99 as a one-time payment to receive a one-year membership which is scheduled to expire today, March 31. However, Jio today announced that it will be issuing another complimentary year of membership as a thanking gesture to its existing Prime members who registered by paying the said amount last year.
All the Prime benefits, which include extra mobile data with certain plans, free access to Jio apps (JioCinema, JioMusic, JioTV, etc.), come with it at no additional cost. New members who join Jio Prime membership on or after April 1 will have to pay Rs. 99 as the membership fee. The company said in a statement, “Jio deeply values its Prime members and will continue to deliver additional benefits and superior value to these founding members.” All existing Jio Prime users are eligible to avail this offer and they can find the option to avail the offer in the MyJio app under the ‘My Plans’ tab which says that the Jio Prime membership will be renewed automatically on March 31, 2018.
Jio has proved its worth in the network market and still continues to compete against the likes of Vodafone, Airtel, and Idea. After Jio started its operations, other telecom operators also introduced the low tariff plans and other similar benefits. Jio recently announced its JioPhone which is available for Rs. 1,500. The 4G feature phone has brought in a lot of sales and is very popular among the people. It runs on KaiOS which now supports Facebook as well as WhatsApp, besides Jio apps and services.

Other data-heavy plans include the 1.5GB data plan which costs Rs. 149, Rs.349, Rs. 399 and Rs, 499 with the validity of the packs going up to 91 days.
