The upcoming Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra renders have surfaced online, giving us the first detailed look at Samsung’s 2026 flagship smartphone. The CAD images show a design like the Galaxy S25 Ultra, with changes to the camera housing and improvements to the flat display and build.

Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra renders

According to the leaked renders shared by reliable tipster @OnLeaks, the Galaxy S26 Ultra will continue with the flat display and flat-sided design that debuted on the Galaxy S25 Ultra. The device is expected to feature a 6.9-inch M14 OLED panel, marketed as 6.9-inch, with thin and uniform bezels. The front camera remains centered in a punch-hole cutout, while slightly rounded corners aim to improve ergonomics.

On the right side, users will find the power button and volume keys, with the left side remaining clean. The bottom edge houses the SIM tray, USB Type-C port, speaker grille, and S Pen slot, keeping Samsung’s usual Ultra-series layout.

Camera module

The biggest design change is at the rear. The Galaxy S26 Ultra should keep its quad-camera setup, but with a new camera housing. Three cameras will be vertically aligned on a raised island. The fourth lens, LED flash, and additional sensor cutout will be separate on the back panel. The redesigned module sticks out around 4.5mm, making it more prominent.

Rumors suggest the camera system will have a 200MP primary sensor, a 50MP ultrawide, a 50MP periscope telephoto (with 5x zoom), and a 10MP telephoto (with 3x zoom). However, this last unit might be a small downgrade from the Galaxy S25 Ultra.

Rumored specifications

The Galaxy S26 Ultra is expected to use Qualcomm’s new Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor. A special “for Galaxy” overclocked version should offer better performance. In some regions, Samsung might again sell models with its Exynos 2600 chip, keeping its dual-chip strategy.

Storage options could go up to 1TB of UFS 4.0 or 4.1. This will be paired with up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM. A 5,000mAh battery will likely return, but charging capabilities are still uncertain. Some reports suggest Samsung might increase wired charging speeds from 45W to 60W. Qi2.2 wireless charging support at 25W is also expected.

Software and features

The smartphone is expected to launch with Android 16 and One UI 8 or 8.5. New display technology, like Color Filter on Encapsulation (CoE), could reduce glare and improve efficiency. Also, magnets inside the chassis may help it work better with future wireless charging accessories.

Expected launch

Samsung usually unveils its Galaxy S series in the first quarter of the year. Following past release schedules, the Galaxy S26 Ultra will likely debut in early 2026, along with the Galaxy S26 and S26+.
