We have Xiaomi Redmi 14C 5G inching closer to its launch on January 6. The phone packs in a 6.88” HD+ 120Hz panel with TUV Rheinland certification. There’s 128GB of storage, 4/8GB RAM, and a Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 SoC under the hood. The budget-friendly smartphone also has a modest 5,160mAh battery with 18W charging tech on-board.

According to the reports, the Redmi 14C 5G is nothing but a rebranded Redmi 14R. Again, this doesn’t surprise us as we have seen a lot more Xiaomi phones getting rebadged and rebranded over and over again.

OnePlus 13R is heading to India amidst its international launch on January 7 marking one of the leading smartphones launching in January 2025. The phone, without any doubt, is a rebranded version of the OnePlus Ace 5 that was released in China a few days ago. The phone draws its power from a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC paired with a massive 6,415mAh battery. The watered-down flagship phone brings two color options as spotted in the recently leaked renders.

Apart from that, OnePlus 13R sports a 6.78” LTPO AMOLED panel with 120Hz panel, a 50MP triple rear camera plus a 16MP selfie snapper. Apparently, there’s no design changes between the Indian and the Chinese variants of the device.

Certainly one of the biggest entrant in our listicle for smartphones launching in January 2025, the Samsung Galaxy S25 Series is coming this month. Comprising at least three models — Galaxy S25, S25 Plus, and S25 Ultra, people are seemingly waiting for these upcoming smartphones to launch in January 2025 for sure.

The Galaxy S25 series comprises two chipsets — an Exynos 2500 SoC and an overclocked Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC at 4.47GHz likely to power both base S25 and S25 Ultra. The series sports 12GB as the base RAM and the storage goes as high as 1TB. We are just a few weeks away from the big launch to happen in January globally followed by shipping starting a few days later.

Galaxy AI will be a big part of the series as every smartphone maker is looking forward to cashing in the opportunities AI has unlocked over the last year. We recently heard about Gemini Advanced subscription to the trio free of cost, although that remains to be seen.

We have Android 15-backed One UI 7 out-of-the-box possibly with six years of major Android and One UI upgrades, a massive 200MP primary snapper in a triple camera setup and a few things here and there.
