Xiaomi is very well famous for their budget segment devices. The Chinese smartphone maker has launched a countless device in the Indian market alone. And the fact that they’re still catering to every user with a regular update on MIUI is quite impressive. We now have Xiaomi’s upcoming Android update rollout schedule which lists every single device that will getting Android update. Xiaomi has listed a plenty of smartphones under its umbrella that will receive either Android Oreo or Android Pie updates depending upon their specs and release date. Those in the list posted below with Android Pie will at least get a beta version by the end of this year.  The full-blown version, on the other hand, will be rolled out early next year if all goes well.

Here is the list of Xiaomi devices that will get Android Pie or Android Oreo

Xiaomi has listed its smartphones that will get either Android Oreo or Android Pie update where the Chinese OEM has skipped those smartphones which have recently got an Android update or those which are at least two years older. The device with at least a 2-year-old age will not be getting any major Android update in support of Google’s protocol. Google stops supporting smartphones with latest updates at a maximum two years from the actual date of release.

Here's the Xiaomi Android updates rollout schedule

The latest Xiaomi Mi MIX 3 is not listed because it will be shipped with Android Pie 9.0 out-of-the-box so let’s discount it first. As for the other smartphones, here’s the current status of the smartphones to get further updates.

Xiaomi Mi 5 has already received an Android Oreo update and similarly, Xiaomi Mi 5S, XIaomi 6, Xiaomi 8, Xiaomi 8 SE, Xiaomi 8 (Green Spring), Xiaomi Mi 8 (Transparent Exploration), MIX, MIX 2, Note 2, Note 3 have received their Android Oreo update (at least beta). Xiaomi 5s Plus has been able to get Android Oreo update as well which I suppose is it’s last Android update since it was released two years ago in December 2016.

Xiaomi 5, Xiaomi 5A, Xiaomi 5 Plus, Xiaomi 5X are roped it to receive Android Oreo beta update in Q4, 2018 which mustn’t take much time. On the contrary, Xiaomi MIX 2S, Mi 8, Mi 8, and Mi 8 (Transparent Exploration Edition) have already received their Android Pie 9.0 update so far. We are now waiting for the Xiaomi Mi 8 (Fingerprint Scanner Edition), Mi 8 SE, and finally, Xiaomi Max 3 which are in tow to get their Android Pie planned beta update in Q4 this year.

Although we are left with a plethora of other smartphones like Xiaomi Mi A2/ A2 Lite, Xiaomi Mi Y2/Y2 Lite and bunch of others, we will have to wait for Xiaomi to make anything official regarding the upcoming Android updates for those smartphones not mentioned in the list and I highly doubt that any other Xiaomi smartphone will get any update at all if not mentioned here.
