It’s been a long time since LG announced a new budget smartphone in the Indian market. If you’re not aware, the brand launches budget smartphone under the Q family. Today, they refreshed their Q-lineup with a new mid-range device known as LG Q Stylus+. Of course, as the name suggests, it comes with Stylus Pen.
Looking at the some of the key features, the smartphone comes with a 6.2-inch FullVision display, 4GB of RAM, an octa-core processor and much more. For those who don’t know, LG basically unveiled three smartphones back in June – LG Q Stylus, LG Q Stylus+ and LG Q Stylus Alpha. Only one of them was able to make its way into the Indian market.
LG Q Stylus+ specification and features
LG Q Stylus+ comes with a large 6.2-inch full HD+ display with an aspect ratio of 18:9 and a resolution of 1080 x 2160 pixels. The 18:9 aspect ratio meaning there is no notch on the front which is a good news for all the haters out there. Just like any other Q-series smartphone, the brand went with a FullVision display having 389ppi pixel density. In terms of performance, the phone is powered by an octa-core processor clocked at 1.5 GHz paired with 4GB of RAM. As of now, there is no correct information regarding the processor model or name. If you’re not happy with the 64GB of internal storage, then you can always expand it via MicroSD card up to 2TB.
Speaking of cameras, there is a single 16-megapixel camera sensor on the back which supports PDAF. Likewise, on the front, there is an 8-megapixel super wide-angle selfie shooter. All of this is fuelled by a 3,300mAh battery and runs on the latest version Android 8.1 Oreo. Other specifications include USB Type-C v2, NFC, and Bluetooth v4.2. There is a fingerprint sensor at the back which also acts as a selfie shutter button. The smartphone is equipped with IP68 water and dust protection which will come in handy at this price point.
As mentioned earlier, the LG Q Stylus+ comes packed with Stylus Pen which according to the brand adds more convenience and functionality when compared to traditional keyboard experience. Apart from that, you can write on the device even if the display is off. The Q Stylus+ will be able to record and recognize it even then. And if this is not enough, you can also use the stylus pen to capture and personalize images and videos to create animated GIFs.
This is the first Q-series smartphone to come with a support of up to 7.1-channel 3D surround sound when listening on earphones. The same feature is found in high-end V-series and G-series LG smartphone.
