After several OEMs took headphone jack out of the equation, other smartphone manufacturers did pull some other components such as speaker grille but what if I say, there is an Android smartphone which is turning the world upside down and it is marketed as the first-ever ‘holeless’ smartphone with no headphone jack, no buttons, no speaker grille or SIM card slot, and not even charging port.

Meizu Zero is a 7.8mm thick ceramic slab with exceptional design and yes, just two holes i.e. one for a hard reset and other for the mic.

According to The Verge, Meizu Zero is a 7.8mm thick ceramic slab with exceptional design and yes, just two holes i.e. one for a hard reset and other for the mic. The rear camera assembly protrudes slightly above the back panel.

Meizu Zero sports a 5.99” QHD OLED display with Snapdragon 845 SoC under the hood and a still unknown RAM and storage configuration. Further, it doesn’t have a speaker grille at the front and rather it uses mSound 2.0 technology that doubles its massive screen to function as a speaker.

It doesn’t have a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner as well and rather the FPS is under-the-display to cater to its ‘holeless’ slogan. The Chinese brand has promised to offer a staggering 18W wireless charging capability in the light of no charging port as well. In fact, the phone solely depends on one of the fast wireless charging devices which surpasses the maximum speeds of Samsung and Apple nearly by double.

There is no SIM card slot either which means the phone will feature eSIM technology and yes, there won’t be any memory card slot or hybrid slot either. Unsurprisingly, the phone will host an IP68 water and dust rating which is kind of giveaway since the phone literally has no holes the water can seep into from.

The phone doesn’t have any physical buttons such as a power button or volume rockers but instead, there is a pressure-sensitive sensor at the places where these buttons should be. Pressing on these sensor sends haptic feedback relinquishing it as if you just pressed a button.

The headphone jack is one of the many things that Meizu removed from this phone aptly named as Meizu Zero. There are plenty of details and specs that we don’t know about it yet but wait for it because we will keep you updated on Meizu Zero specs and price, release date.
