With Xiaomi Mi MIX 2S’ launch just around the corner, the leaks have still not been able to settle on its final design. While some leaks suggest a small camera notch in the top right corner of the device’s front, other leaked images have shown an iPhone X-like notch in the centre. These new images leaked today show a design that is very similar to last year’s Mi MIX 2 where the front camera sits on the bottom bezel.
As it can be seen in the alleged images, the phone doesn’t feature any notch or cut out in the top portion. There is a slightly thicker bezel in the bottom area where the selfie camera can be seen in the centre if you look closely. This is a design flaw Xiaomi has faced a lot of criticism for, but the bottom-placed selfie camera might stay for a little longer. If these photos turn out to be true, the design of the upcoming Mi MIX 2S won’t be a whole lot different from its predecessor.
Comparing to an image that leaked a couple of days back, the Mi MIX 2S’ design from the rear is also significantly different. While the device in the previous leak featured glossy back, this one seemingly has a matte finish. Moreover, the camera position is also different, where the dual cameras can be seen placed in top left corner aligned vertically in the new image, against horizontally aligned ones in the previous leak.

There are chances that all the leaked photos of the phone featuring different design elements could be of early prototypes Xiaomi has been testing internally. One of them could even end up being the final design for the Mi MIX 2S and that can only be confirmed when the company launches it officially on March 27 in Shanghai.
