Based on the latest tweet posted by OnePlus CEO Pete Lau, the flagship smartphone maker is about to announce the launch date for upcoming OnePlus 7, 7 Pro, and a 5G variant on April 23 i.e. Tuesday.
A day ago, leaks Ishan Aggarwal posted on Twitter stating the launch date as May 14 i.e. Tuesday following a tip-off from a trusted source. Although it wasn’t much more than just a tip-off, citing Ishan’s reputation in a tab, tech news portal quickly added May 14 as the day when Chinese OEM will launch the next OnePlus 7, OnePlus 7 Pro, and OnePlus 7 Pro 5G.

Today, Pete Lau posted on Twitter that OnePlus will officially declare the global launch date for upcoming smartphones on April 23 which is imminently close and we are just merely 72 hours away from it. Pete abstained from adding any other details with the tweet but we do some something about the upcoming smartphones that you must know too in case if you are living under a rock and aren’t aware of the specs sheet that was leaked a few days ago.
Apparently, OnePlus 7 will be based on OnePlus 6T with a waterdrop-shaped notch at the front and a dual-camera setup at the back while OnePlus 7 Pro will receive further enhancements. The device will sport the stunning QHD+ 90Hz display with no notch and front pop-up camera setup and finally, a triple camera set up at the back.
The device will sport Snapdragon 855 SoC with an LTE modem while it’s variant with sport SDM855 with Snapdragon X50 5G modem that will enable it to support 5G connectivity. Let’s wait and watch till OnePlus drops something valuable about the upcoming OnePlus 7, Pro, and a 5G variant on April 23.
