Usually, when we talk about a flagship smartphone from Samsung, we expect it to come with a lot of features, and of course, an expensive price tag. But what if they throw some flagship specifications into a smartphone, and launch it for a relatively cheaper price. This is what Samsung has done with its new Galaxy Note 10 Lite and S10 Lite smartphones. The former was launched last week in India, and today, pre-orders for the Samsung Galaxy S10 Lite have also been started.
The main highlights of the phone are its cameras and its Soc. The Galaxy S10 Lite is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 mobile platform, which is rare because all Samsung flagships in India come with Exynos processors. The phone runs on One UI 2 on top of Android 10. Talking about the cameras, the phone has a triple camera setup on the back that features a 48 MP primary camera with an f/2.0 aperture, a 12 MP ultra-wide sensor with an f/2.2 aperture, and a 5 MP macro lens with an f/2.4 aperture. The primary sensor comes with what Samsung calls “Super Steady OIS”. According to Samsung, the Super Steady OIS adds gimbal-like stability to the camera and helps capture UHD quality videos and photos with maximum stability, even at lowlight scenarios. The front camera is of 32 MP with an f/2.2 aperture.
The phone features a big 6.7-inch Full HD+ Infinity-O AMOLED display. It comes with 1080 x 2400p screen resolution and an aspect ratio of 19.5:9. The display has a built-in light sensor, a proximity sensor, and an on-screen fingerprint sensor. It also has a centered O shaped punch hole camera on the top. The phone gets its fuel from a 4,500 mAh battery, which Samsung claims can keep the phone going for up to 2 days. You can also fast charge the phone with an included 25W charger in the box. The phone comes in a single variant, with 8 GB RAM and 128 GB internal storage, further expandable up to 1 TB via a micro SD card. It comes in 3 colors: Prism Blue, Prism Black, and Prism White.
The Samsung Galaxy S10 Lite is priced at ₹39,999 ($560) and is available for pre-order on Samsung’s official website, Flipkart, and Amazon. Users can also available a cashback of ₹3000 using ICICI bank’s credit card for a limited time. It will be shipped from February 4 onwards, and will also be made available in offline stores soon.
