Xiaomi Redmi Note 17 series surfaced on the rumor mill again, and this time, we have more specs to uncover. Reported by tipster Digital Chat Station (DCS) via Weibo, the upcoming Note 17 model reportedly brings a ginormous 9,000mAh battery on board, plus a high-resolution display, a Snapdragon 6-series SoC, and a few more things that you will be reading about in the following sections.
Redmi Note 17 series specs tipped ahead of launch
According to DCS, Xiaomi is working on the Redmi Note 17 series that reportedly brings a flat 1.5K display on board. There’s flagship-cadre water resistance, a dual stereo speaker setup, and a higher magnitude of durability on-board making it a must try. Note that a similar specs sheet has been corroborated by another tipster as well.
The tipster further goes on to mention the Snapdragon 6-series chipset powering the duo, i.e., Note 17 and Note 17 Pro (at least). In fact, the last series had a few more models, such as Pro+.
Circling back to the Redmi Note 17 series, we have heard that the Chinese variant might cross the 10,000mAh mark as per Yogesh Brar, although the latest tip by DCS mentions a slightly lower battery capability.
A supposed timeline reveals Xiaomi Redmi Note 17 will arrive sometime in July in China, while the Redmi Note 17 Pro and Pro+ will make it to late July or August this year. According to GSMArena, Redmi Note 17 will see a Snapdragon 6 Gen 5 SoC, a 1.5K display, a 50MP primary cam, a 9,000mAh battery, and both water resistance and durability up to the notch.
Moving on, we have the Redmi Note 17 Pro likely to be powered by MediaTek Dimensity 7500 SoC. This model, too, will see a 1.5K display with water protection and durability. The phone is likely to get a whopping 200MP primary sensor and the anticipated 10,000mAh battery that makes even the flagship phones of 2026 seem puny.
Where did the Redmi Note 16 series go? Well, Xiaomi is skipping the series to put the Redmi Note 17 series in the market. It is indeed what Xiaomi did with the flagship series as well.
