Android Voice Control

It can be very useful in delicate situations, or just fun to play around with, either the way android voice control is pretty amazing. Although Google has a hard time competing with Apple’s Siri here, but with the information from Google Now, the phrase “Ok Google!” keeps growing more powerful. You can look up tomorrows weather, manage your calendar events, start a navigation in your car and more, without touching your phone. Personally, my favorite feature is the reminder. Easily set up, it helps not to forget the stuff you’re planning to do later, which really helps me get though chaotic days. Commands like “Call Mum” or “Text Peter I’m 5 minutes late” are also extremely useful, and with the latest update, nine new were added.

New Commands

Your now can enable and disable your android phone’s Bluetooth and Wi-Fi and light up its flashlight, telling it to “Turn Wi-Fi off” or “Turn flashlight on”. Even more useful is the feature to have your last messages read out by saying “show my messages”. Android voice control can also open your camera now, although I can hardly think of a situation to use that, because you still have to activate the shutter manually.

If you wonder, here is a list of the existing commands. Have fun playing around with them, but watch out, don’t get the lady jealous!
