The anticipated update for MacBook Air is finally here after almost eight years of getting it’s last major physical redesign back in 2010. Apple launched the MacBook Air 2018 at it’s October 30th Apple Special Launch Event held in Brooklyn, New York where it also launched Mac Mini and iPad Pro.

Rolled out almost a decade ago, the old MacBook Air left other manufacturers trying to make up for the dent made by Air in the market with it’s ultra-thin designs and top-notched specs, however, as years passed and Apple decided to stick with its old design, many manufacturers began catching up with it but no more. Apple has finally reinstated its prowess in the PC world with the major redesigned MacBook Air which has received a high-resolution display and more.

Apple has been updating it’s MacBook and MacBook Pro lineup over the years, however, the catch is that these two laptops had an entry price tag of $1,299 while the Air was launched with an entry price of $999. Now that the new MacBook Air is here, don’t expect is to go under a grand since it’s entry-level model bears a price tag of $1,199 but since there are many high-end and upgraded specs and form factors to consider, the price tag justifies itself although some might even think that Apple has quoted the highest price tag it can quote.

The best thing about MacBook Air is that is it portable. Apple has created it 10% thinner, 17% smaller, and it weighs at just 2.75 pounds when compared to its predecessor and since it is made up of 100% recycled aluminum, it is considered environment-friendly although it is able to dig a deep hole in your pockets considering it’s price range.
